Morissons Pub, Stirling

Aujourd'hui, nous sommes allés à Stirling pour faire des premières reconnaissances avant notre déménagement. Les parents ont reperé les bons quartiers et après on est allés manger un morceau dans un des seuls pubs de Stirling qui avait des chaises hautes: le Morrissons. Notre serveuse était une jumelle et elle nous a traités comme la famille royale. On y retournera au Morrisons!

Today we went to Stirling for a first look before we start looking for houses properly. The parents had a good look at the various areas of Stirling before we tried to get some food. Not many places had high chairs and we ended up in the Morissons pub. It turned out our waitress was a twin and we were treated like royalty! We will definitely come back.

Palacerigg

Même s'il faisait bien froid aujourd'hui, on a décidé d'aller faire un petit tour à Palacerigg pour profiter du beau soleil. On a regardé les animaux bien au chaud sous nos duvets!

To make the most of a gorgeous day, we went to Palacerigg. It might have been sunny but it was freezing and we had a look at the animals from the comfort and warmth of our buggy!

Camembert

Liam takes his cheese very seriously, and even begs Mum for some more when he's finished his slice!

Petits suisses - Fromage frais

Une fois nos petits suisses terminés, on aime bien jouer avec les pots. Liam a même découvert comment lécher le couvercle, il n'en perd pas une miette!

Once we're finished with the fromage frais, we love playing with the pots. And Liam has figured out how to get every last bit out by licking the lid!

Schizophrènes

Mercredi 20 janvier, 7:20am: c'est la grosse colère, les grosses larmes, . Liam et Noah sont les deux enfants les plus malheureux du monde entier. Leur mère vient de leur refuser un biscuit sous le prétexte qu'ls viennent juste de finir leur petit déjeuner. La vie est trop injuste...

Wednesday 20th January, 7.20am: complete meltdown, imagine tears, wails and feet kicking. Liam and Noah are the saddest babies in the whole world. Their mum had the audacity to refuse them a biscuit arguing they had just finished their breakfast. Life is SO unfair...

Glasgow Green

Aujourd'hui, on est allés à Glasgow Green pour changer un peu.

Today, we went to Glasgow Green for a change.

On a commencé avec le toboggan.

We started on the slides.

Liam adore et descend comme un champion (quand les chaussures ne le freinent pas!). Noah, lui, a une technique intéressante: sur le dos!

Liam loved it and was going down like a champ (when he wasn't slowed down by his shoes!). Noah had an interesting technique: going down on his back!

Ensuite, on a fait de la double balançoire avec l'aide de Papa et Nana. Encore une fois, Noah adopte une approche non conventionnelle!

Then we went for the seesaw with a little help from Daddy and Nana. Once again, Noah is trying a not very conventional method!

Et puis bien sûr, les incontournables balançoires!

And of course, no visit to the park would be complete without the swings!

Pppffff, encore les balançoires .......

Mais on adore ça!!! On ne s'en lasse jamais!

But we love it!!!

Hogganfield

Depuis mercredi, Nana est à la maison pour garder Noah qui est malade. Ce weekend, on lui a montré nos endroits préférés pour s'amuser. Aujourd'hui, Hogganfield Loch et ses balançoires.

Since wednesday night, Nana has been staying with us to look after Noah who was not well. This weekend, we took her round our favourite play areas. Today, Hogganfield Loch and the swings.

Pas un bon jour - Not a good day

Sur le blog, on vous ferait presque croire qu'on est toujours de bonne humeur et souriants. Mais c'est de la publicité mensongère. La preuve, quand Noah est de mauvaise humeur, ça donne ça.

A sa défense, ce jour là, il couvait une otite et vomissait tout ce qu'il avalait; deux bonnes raisons d'être de mauvaise humeur.

On this blog, we would almost have you believe that we're always happy, smiley and in a good mood. That is a lie. Sometimes, we are in a bad mood and when we are, it looks like that.

To be fair to Noah, the day these photos were taken, he was coming down with an ear infection and being sick after each meal. That would put anyone in a foul mood!

Et au cas où on oublierait son existence pendant que son frère est malade, Liam pleure un petit coup aussi ... Il vous fait pas de la peine cet enfant?

And just in case we would forget him while his brother is ill, Liam has a little cry too... That is what I call attention seeking...

Heureusement la mauvaise humeur ne dure en général pas trop longtemps!

Thank goodness, the bad mood does usually lift pretty quickly!

Hogganfield Loch

Nous voici de retour à Glasgow et ici aussi il a bien neigé et il fait encore bien froid. Pour profiter un peu des paysages enneigés sans aller trop loin, nous sommes allés à Hogganfield Loch. Maman en a profité pour faire de belles photos.

We came back to Glasgow yesterday and it seems that they also got plenty of snow here. We didn't fancy the great outdoors but decided to go for a walk at Hogganfield Loch to enjoy some of the white stuff. The loch was almost completely frozen and the birds were struggling but Mum managed to get some good shots.

Nous, on était bien au chaud dans la poussette.

Nevermind the birds, we're nice and warm in the buggy!

Non, ce n'est pas un champ derrière Maman, mais le loch, complètement gelé et couvert de neige. Dur de savoir où est la berge... On n'a pas essayé!

No, it is not a field behind Mum but the loch, totally frozen and covered in snow. Hard to know where the ground stops and the water starts... We didn't try to find out!



Le froid et la neige, ça nous a fait un effet boeuf! Heureusement que ce n'est pas la saison des mouches!
