23 Novembre, 1 an !!! - 23rd November, 1 year old !!!

Et voilà, un an déjà que nous sommes nés, que l'on ravit nos parents et que l'on amuse la galerie!

There it is, one year already since we were born. A year delighting our parents and entertaining the crowds on the blog!

Pour notre petit déjeuner, Maman nous a donné du cadeau d'anniversaire. Comme d'habitude, Noah en a mis partout alors que Liam a tout mangé très proprement!

For breakfast, Mum let us have birthday cake. As usual, while Liam remained almost pristine, Noah made the biggest mess!

Avant d'aller à la crèche, on a joué un peu avec nos nouveaux jouets.

Before leaving for nursery, we had time to play with our new toys.

En rentrant de la crèche, on a encore soufflé nos bougies. Et on a encore pleuré parce qu'on n'avait pas le droit de toucher les bougies ...

After nursery, we blew our candles again. And we cried again when we were not allowed to touch them...

Ils sont vraiment bons ces gâteaux, on ne s'en lasse pas!

Après le gâteau on a ouvert les cadeaux de Granddad et Nana: un établi et un tableau d'engrenages. On s'est bien amusés!

After the cake, we opened Granddad and Nana's presents: a workbench and a board with cogs and gears. Liam loves the cogs and Noah is a master at the workbench already!

Ensuite, on a ouvert les premiers cadeaux de Manou: une arche de Noah (Noé) pour ... Noah! Et une chenille à monter et démonter pour Liam. Merci Manou!

Afterwards, we opened Manou's presents: a Noah's ark and shape sorting caterpillar for Liam.

Et quoi de mieux pour finir la journée qu'un gors câlin avec Maman!?

And what a better way to round up the day than a big bedtime cuddle with Mummy!

L'anniversaire de Liam et Noah, comme si vous y étiez - Liam and Noah's birthday

Dimanche nous avons donc fêté notre PREMIER anniversaire.

On Sunday, we celebrated our FIRST birthday.

Quand on s'est levés, les parents avaient décoré le salon et Liam s'est bien amusé avec les ballons.

When we got up, mum and dad had decorated the lounge and Liam played with the balloons for ages.

Tous les cadeaux qui nous attendaient étaient empilés sur la table et on ne se voyait plus! Liam se demandait où était Noah!

All our presents had been piled up on the table and we couldn't see each other! Liam kept looking for Noah!

Ensuite on a pris notre petit déjeuner puis on a ouvert notre premier cadeau: un trotteur. On ne maitrise pas encore l'équilibre mais on s'amuse bien avec le tableau musical.

After our breakfast, we opened our first present: a walker. We're not quite stable enough for it yet but we like playing with the musical board at the front in the meantime.

Cet après midi, nous avions des invités pour fêter noter anniversaire. Maman avait fait des bons gâteaux (un gâteau au chocolat pour Noah et un gâteau à la carotte pour Liam) et on a souflé nos bougies. Enfin c'est Maman qui les a soufflés parce que nous on sait pas faire. Par contre elle voulait pas qu'on touche la flamme, on était pas très contents...

This afternoon, we had guests for our birthday party. Mum made some cakes (chocolate cake for Noah and carrot cake for Liam) and we blew our candles. Well, technically Mum blew them because we're not mastering the blowing skill yet. We were not very impressed when Mum said we couldn't touch the flame though...

On a été très gâtés et on a ouvert tous nos cadeaux avec nos invités.

We were a bit spoiled and after the cakes, we spend a long time opening our presents. Thanks Sharon, Andrew, Claire and Kerry!

Après que nos invités soient repartis, nous avons ouvert un autre cadeau: un clavier musical. Il y a même un micro et qu'est ce qu'on se marre à crier et souffler dedans!

After our guests went home, we opened our second present: a keyboard. It even comes with a microphone and we find it very funny to scream and blow in it!

A bientot pour le reste de notre anniversaire - ça a duré toute la semaine!

Amuse bouche - Taster

Aujourd'hui, nous avons fêté notre anniversaire avec une petite journée d'avance. Papa et Maman ont pris beaucoup trop de photos et il va falloir quelques jours avant de les trier pour le blog, mais en avant première, voici à quoi ressemblaient nos gâteaux: un gâteau au chocolat pour Noah et un gâteau aux carottes pour Liam (spécialité écossaise!) avec les portes bougies de Mamina. On s'est régalés!

Today we had our first birthday party, one day before our official birthday. Mum and Dad took far too many photos and it will take them a few days to sort them all. But as a little teaser, this is what are cakes looked like: a chocolate cake for Noah and a carrot cake for Liam, with the little candle holders that Mamina (Mum's auntie) sent us. They were yummy!

La semaine dernière, Noah apprenait à se servir du nouvel aspirateur. Aujourd'hui, c'est l'aspirateur de table.

Last week, Noah was getting to grips with the new vacuum cleaner. Today it was the handheld one. Start them young they say!

Croissants

Les croissants sont toujours très populaires chez nous!

Croissants are always very popular round our house (must be the French blood)!

Mais Noah et Liam ont deux techniques très différentes.

But Liam and Noah have two very different techniques.

Noah - direct dans l'assiette, j'attaque le croissant à pleine bouche!

Naoh - steal it from the plate and straight in my mouth!

Liam - beaucoup plus civilisé, j'attends que Maman me donne des petits morceaux pour ne pas faire de miettes. Qui a dit que je tenais de ma maman?

Liam - I'm a lot more civilised and wait for Mum to give me some small bits so that I don't get crumbs everywhere. Who said I take after my Mum?

Ce weekend, Chris, Jane et Evie étaient de passage en Ecosse. Samedi soir, ils sont venus manger à la maison. Avant d'aller se coucher, Chris nous a lu une histoire. C'était du sport!

Chris, Jane and Evie came to spend the weekend in Scotland. On Saturday night, they came round to ours for tea. Before us babies went to bed, Chris read us a bedtime story with the help of Dad. Not easy with 3 wriggling babies!

Alors que Maman et Manou avaient le dos tourné, Liam en a profité pour trouver les gateaux à la carotte dans le filet de sa chaise haute! Bien sur Noah a rappliqué en vitesse pour partager le festin!

While Mum and Manou were busy, Liam managed to find the carrot puffs in the net under his high chair! Of course, it didn't take long for Noah to come and share the feast!

Aujourd'hui c'était notre visite hebdomadaire aux balançoires (il y en a qui vont à la messe, nous c'est les parcs...). Nous avons amenés Manou à Pollok Park.

Today, it was our weekly visit to the swings. We took Manou to Pollok Park.

Halloween!!!

Nous avons fêté Halloween avec un peu d'avance: c'était la fête à la crèche aujourd'hui. Nous somme partis avec nos tee shirts 'Mon Premier Halloween' et nous sommes revenus transformés en squelette (Noah) et citrouille (Liam)!

We celebrated Halloween a day early: we had a party at nursery today. We left this morning with our 'My 1st Halloween' t-shirts and came back tonight as a skeleton (Noah) and a pumpkin (Liam)!

Weekend at Loudbridge Farm

Ce week end nous sommes allés voir chez notre Granddad et Nana. Nos cousins Kai et Eva étaient là, on s'est vraiment bien amusés!

We spent the weekend at our Grandad's and Nana's. Kai and Eva were there and we had a brilliant time. So much fun playing with the big kids!
