Big Cook Little Cook

A la crèche, les éducatrices viennent de lancer 'Big Cook Little Cook' (Petit Cuisinier, Grand Cuisinier). Le principe est simple, elles mettent à disposition une sélection d'ingrédients pour cuisiner (farine, sucre, levure, pépites de chocolat etc), on prend ce qu'on veut, on cuisine à la maison et puis on leur raconte ce qu'on a fait et on doit prendre des photos qui sont ensuite affichées pour montrer ce qu'on a fait. Ce weekend, on a décidé que ce serait notre tour et on a fait des gauffres pour le petit déjeuner!

At nursery, the girls have recently launched a 'Big Cook Little Cook' project. The idea is simple, they offer a selection of ingredients for baking (flour, sugar, baking powder, chocolate chips etc), we can take what we want and all we have to do is to bake (!)and take pictures to show them and our friends at nursery what we've made. This weekend we decided to borrow some baking powder and we made waffles for breakfast!

D'abord il fallait préparer la pâte. Liam a mélangé le sucre, la farine et la levure, Noah lui a touillé les oeufs, le lait et l'huile (oui, notre mère est inconsciente!). Ensuite il a fallu tout mélanger et à deux c'est bien plus rigolo!

First we had to make the waffle batter. Liam mixed the dry ingredients and Noah had the wet stuff (scary moment!). Then we mixed it all together and it was much more fun doing it together!

Ensuite on a laissé maman se débrouiller avec la machine à gauffres et notre particpation a repris au moment de la dégustation. Espérons qu'on remette ça bientot même si on ne participe pas à Big Cook Little Cook !!!

After that, we left Mummy battle with the waffle maker and our contribution resumed at the tasting stage. Yummy! Hopefully we don't have to wait for Big Cook, Little Cook to do it again!
