Community day on the allotment

Aujourd'hui c'était journée "communautaire" aux jardins. Tout le monde met la main à la pâte pour réparer et entretenir les parties communes: chemins, compost, etc. Après, on fait un barbecue. Comme on est un peu petits pour tenir une pelle ou un coupe herbe, on a joué sur la terrace.

Today was community day on the allotments. Everybody chips in to do various jobs on the communal parts: tidy the paths, sort out the compost heap, etc. And then, they have a big barbecue. We're a bit small to hold a spade or use a strimmer, so we've just been playing on the patio while everybody was working hard.
